YouTube Music 2025: YouTube Music has officially begun rolling out its 2025 Recap, giving users a fun and personalised look at everything they listened to over the past year. Just like Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay, this feature has become a yearly favourite — and this time, YouTube Music is adding a fresh twist with AI.
The 2025 edition includes all the familiar insights, from your top artists to your most-played albums, but it also takes things a step further by breaking down where your favourite musicians come from and how much time you spent listening to them. The highlight this year, though, is a totally new AI-powered chat tool that lets you “ask anything about your 2025 listening.”

YouTube Music 2025 Recap Goes Live for iOS and Android
The new Recap experience is now available on both iOS and Android, and many users have already spotted it. Reports on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit confirm that the feature has started appearing for a growing number of people. Gadgets 360 staff members were also able to access the feature, indicating that the rollout is expanding widely.
Once available, your personalised Recap will walk you through:
- Total listening time
- Your top artists of the year
- Top albums and tracks
- Countries your favourite artists come from
- Your standout listening moments from 2025
This year’s version is more visual and interactive, making it easier to explore your music journey across different moods, genres, and time periods.

AI Chat: The Biggest Upgrade This Year
The most exciting addition is the AI-powered chat feature, which YouTube Music is introducing for the very first time. Users can ask questions like:
- “How many hours did I listen to my top artist?”
- “Which genre did I listen to the most in 2025?”
- “Which country did most of my favourite artists come from?”
Instead of just showing stats, the AI can break down your listening patterns, compare months, and offer deeper insights — almost like having your own music analyst.
This makes the 2025 Recap feel more interactive and personalised than ever before.
Rolling Out Gradually — Check Your App
YouTube Music is releasing the Recap in phases, so not everyone will see it at the same time. To check if it’s available for you:
- Update the YouTube Music app.
- Open the app and look for the 2025 Recap banner on the homepage.
- You can also find it in your Library tab under the Recap section.
If it’s not showing up yet, it should appear soon as the rollout continues globally.
The YouTube Music 2025 Recap is shaping up to be the platform’s most detailed and interactive year-end summary yet. With a mix of nostalgia, data, and AI, users now get a more engaging snapshot of their music habits — and a fun way to look back on the soundtrack of their year.
