The next-generation OnePlus tablet is almost here. The company has confirmed that the OnePlus Pad Go 2, the successor to the 2023 OnePlus Pad Go, will officially launch on December 17, followed by open sales on December 18. Targeted at students and young professionals, the new tablet promises major upgrades in performance, battery life, and productivity tools.
Ahead of its launch, OnePlus has revealed several key features, giving us a clear picture of what to expect from the Pad Go 2.
Powerful MediaTek Chipset for Long-Term Performance
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra, an octa-core chipset built on the efficient 4nm process. The company says the device will be TÜV SÜD certified for smooth operation for up to four years, which means users can expect reliable performance over the tablet’s lifespan.
A Geekbench listing suggests the tablet will come with 8GB of RAM and run Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, ensuring a modern and responsive software experience.
Massive Battery With Long Playback Time
Battery life appears to be one of the biggest highlights. The Pad Go 2 will pack a 10,050mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. OnePlus claims impressive usage times:
- Up to 15 hours of continuous video playback
- Up to 53 hours of music playback
- Up to 60 days of standby time
The tablet will also support reverse cable charging, allowing it to act as a power source for other devices—useful for accessories or emergency phone charging.
First-Ever Stylus for the Pad Go Series
For the first time, OnePlus is introducing a stylus designed specifically for this lineup—the OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo. It is aimed at users who handle note-taking, creative work, and productivity tasks.
The stylus will support fast charging, with OnePlus claiming that a 10-minute charge can power it for half a day. This makes it ideal for students or professionals who need quick top-ups between classes or meetings.
Big, Bright, and Colour-Accurate Display
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will feature a 12.1-inch display with a resolution that offers 284ppi for crisp visuals. It will include:
- 900 nits peak brightness in high-brightness mode
- 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage
- 7:5 aspect ratio for reading and productivity
- 88.5% screen-to-body ratio
- Dolby Vision support
For eye comfort, the tablet will be certified with TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0, helpful for long study or work sessions.

On the software side, OnePlus is equipping the tablet with its Open Canvas multitasking system, allowing:
