Moto G Power (2026) Launched in US and Canada: Price, Specifications, and What’s New

Motorola has officially launched the Moto G Power (2026) in select global markets, including the United States and Canada. The new model succeeds last year’s Moto G Power (2025) and brings a few incremental upgrades, such as a better front camera, improved display protection, and new colour options. However, it does not introduce any major hardware changes and comes with a higher price tag than its predecessor.

Moto G Power (2026) Price and Availability

The Moto G Power (2026) is priced at $299.99 (around ₹27,100) in the US, while Canadian buyers will have to pay CAD 449.99 (roughly ₹29,550). Motorola is offering the smartphone in a single configuration with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The handset will be available in Evening Blue and Pure Cashmere colour options. Sales begin on January 8, and the phone will be available through Motorola’s official website, along with select online and offline retail partners in both markets.

Moto G Power (2026) Display and Design

Moto G Power (2026) features a large 6.8-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2388 × 1080 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother scrolling and better gaming performance.

Motorola has added High Brightness Mode, allowing the display to reach up to 1,000 nits, making it easier to use outdoors. For durability, the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is an upgrade over the previous generation. On the audio side, the device is equipped with stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Moto G Power (2026) is powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset used in the Moto G Power (2025). The octa-core processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The smartphone runs on Android 16 out of the box, offering the latest features, improved privacy controls, and smoother system performance.

Camera Capabilities

In terms of photography, the Moto G Power (2026) comes with a dual rear camera setup:

  • 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS)
  • 8MP ultra-wide camera for landscape and group shots

On the front, Motorola has upgraded the selfie camera to a 32MP sensor, which is an improvement over the previous model. The camera system is backed by several AI-powered features, including:

  • Auto Night Vision
  • Portrait Mode
  • Auto Smile Capture
  • Shot Optimisation

These enhancements aim to improve image quality across different lighting conditions.

Battery and Charging

Battery life continues to be a strong point of the Moto G Power series. The Moto G Power (2026) packs a 5,200mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day on a single charge.

Charging options include:

  • 30W wired fast charging
  • 15W wireless charging

This combination makes it one of the few phones in its segment to support wireless charging.

Connectivity and Other Features

The smartphone includes several practical features, such as:

  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • NFC support
  • FM radio
  • Side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security

Final Thoughts

The Moto G Power (2026) brings modest refinements rather than major upgrades. While it retains the same chipset and similar battery capacity as its predecessor, improvements like a higher-resolution selfie camera, stronger display protection, and wireless charging support help justify its place in Motorola’s lineup.

That said, the higher launch price may make buyers think twice, especially given the lack of significant performance upgrades. Still, for users looking for a clean Android experience, long battery life, and a large display, the Moto G Power (2026) remains a solid mid-range option.
