OnePlus 15s: OnePlus has barely wrapped up the launch of the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 in India, and leaks about the next phone in the OnePlus 15 lineup are already heating up. According to fresh reports, the OnePlus 15s could be heading to India sooner than expected, with certification hints suggesting an early launch timeline.

OnePlus 15s BIS certification hints at India launch
The OnePlus 15s has reportedly received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, a key step that usually signals an imminent launch in India. The device is said to carry the model number CPH2793, and this certification strongly suggests that OnePlus is preparing to bring the phone to the Indian market, possibly as early as January.
This wouldn’t be the first time OnePlus has followed such a strategy. The OnePlus 13s, for example, debuted in China as the OnePlus 13T in April before launching globally and in India in June. That phone marked OnePlus’ push into the compact flagship segment, where it competed with devices like the Vivo X200 FE. If history repeats itself, the OnePlus 15s may first launch in China before making its way to India shortly after.
Interestingly, OnePlus has also confirmed that it is working on a new Turbo series in China, aimed primarily at gamers. There’s a strong possibility that this gaming-focused lineup could eventually reach India as well, expanding OnePlus’ presence across different performance-focused segments.
OnePlus 15s: What’s leaked so far
Leaks so far paint the OnePlus 15s as a powerful compact flagship with premium hardware. The phone is tipped to feature a 6.31-inch BOE X3 OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, similar to what we’ve already seen on the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 15. This suggests smooth scrolling, better gaming performance, and a sharp viewing experience in a relatively compact form factor.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15s is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chipset — the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This is the same flagship processor found in the OnePlus 15, meaning users can expect top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven features.
One of the biggest talking points, however, could be the battery. The OnePlus 15s is rumored to pack a massive 7,500mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery ever on a OnePlus smartphone. This is especially impressive for a phone expected to sit in the compact flagship category. The device could also support 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up despite the huge battery size. As with its predecessor, though, the phone is expected to skip wireless charging.
Camera setup stays familiar
On the camera front, the OnePlus 15s is expected to stick to a familiar setup. The phone could feature a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, the same one used on the OnePlus 15 and 15R. Alongside it, there may be a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens for zoom shots.
However, much like the OnePlus 13s, the upcoming model may skip an ultra-wide camera, which could be a drawback for users who enjoy landscape or group photography.
Premium build and modern features
Leaks also suggest that the OnePlus 15s will come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, offering faster and more reliable unlocking. The phone is expected to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring strong protection against dust and water.
In terms of design, the device could sport a metal frame and measure around 8.5mm in thickness, balancing durability with a premium in-hand feel.
Software-wise, the OnePlus 15s is likely to launch with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. Users can also expect all the latest AI-powered features, along with Plus Mind integration with Gemini, enhancing productivity, search, and smart assistance across the system.
Expected price in India
The OnePlus 13s was launched in India at ₹54,999 for the base variant and ₹59,999 for the top-end model. With ongoing memory chip shortages impacting the tech industry, it’s quite possible that the OnePlus 15s could see a price hike when it eventually launches in India.
While OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed the device yet, the BIS certification and steady flow of leaks strongly suggest that the OnePlus 15s launch is just around the corner. If the rumours hold true, OnePlus fans could soon have another powerful flagship option to look forward to.
